We have been able to start classes again on location at YWAM Perth. That means that we now run classes accordind to the following schedule:

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
Chinese family visit me at home to practice English English teaching at Migrant Resource Centre with Compassion DTS Andrew and I run a home class for Thai and Laotian migrants Rachel works with a Burmese family in the morning

All of us are involved in a community English class in the afternoon for refugees from central Africa

Our new afternoon classes at the YWAM base
A lot of these classes are new. Attendance is from one to eight students so far, with five being about average.

What do we do the rest of the time?
Well, of course I take turns with Darcy looking after Micah. We also spend our time visiting people, sharing Jesus, giving advice and encouragement in job-seeking or searching for accomodation, or referring people on to others in the network who can help in specialized ways. We spend some time studying and reviewing helpful resources for refugees and new migrants to Australia so we can better serve. Often, we have meetings to plan or pray about new programs with other churches and organizations - sometimes just for mutual encouragement and networking.

Joshua - from Nigeria - was with us for only two weeks before before having to fly back to Nigeria to deal with a family emergency. We are praying he can return quickly.
