Micah is learning to talk

Teaching English is Fun! Micah's greatest achievement is that he knows the words ‘ball’ and ‘wall’ and that they mean different things. In English teaching, this is called a ‘minimal pair’. He also can say ‘no’, ‘mama’, ‘dada’, ‘nye-nye’ (night-night), ‘uh-oh’ and ‘woof’.

He says ‘ball’, but has a very wide definition. He also says ‘wall’, funnily enough. In terms of what he can say with sign language, Micah has the wider vocabulary of: ‘I love you’, ‘toilet’, ‘please’, and ‘all done’.

He can give hugs and kisses if you ask for them, and is working hard on listening for ‘Micah, come here’. It will help us guard him better if he learns to respond to that!
